Daiwa STEEZ FLEX FOOTBALL, like the STEEZ FLEX JIG, uses a special construction (C.J.S.) for the joint between the head and hook that does not require a split ring and allows the hook to be changed without the use of pliers. By not using a split ring, the hook does not turn sideways after landing on the bottom, making it easier for the tip of the hook to point upward and improving hooking performance. One of the advantages of the football type lure is its “short travel distance”; the eye set at 90 degrees makes it difficult for the lure to come close to the front, allowing the angler to make multiple actions in a short distance. It is also easy to make it fall vertically, making it effective for vertical approaches in rock areas.
