Daiwa DOUBLE CLUTCH is designed as a variable depth jerkbait that can attack different ranges. The wide lip and slightly elevated eye location create an action that causes the body to dive on a normal reeling, and to stop diving downward and move sideways when twitched. This allows the lure to be used at a depth of approximately 50cm (1.6ft) when twitched immediately after landing on the water, and at a depth of approximately 1.3m (4.3ft) for the 50SP/60SP model, 1.5m (4.9ft) for the 70SP, and 2m (6.6ft) for the 95SP when twitched after reeling in several times and letting the body dive with a straight retrieve. The infinitely thin body shape is close to that of real baitfish, and allows bass to bite without hesitation. The body's slimness may make anglers concerned about casting distance, but the Silent Center of Gravity Shift System with special SAQSAS processing makes it possible to cast the lure long enough.
